Objective of Mulya Pravah 2.0

Need for guidelines

  • These included “favouritism; sexual harassment; gender discrimination; inconsistent view on discipline; lack of confidentiality; etc.

  • Maulana Abul Kalam Azad inaugurated it on 28th December 1953.
  • Act of Parliament in 1956 provided it with statutory status.

  • It works to coordinate, determine, and maintain standards of teaching, examination and research in university education.

    • These guidelines were released in 2019 by UGC.
    • It called for Observing modesty, maintaining good health, and refraining from intoxicants.
    • It also seeks harmony among students from different socio-economic statuses, communities, castes, religions, or regions.
