Context (PIB | ET): Tax Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB) launched a programme in Saint Lucia.

India has been chosen as the Partner Administration, contributing Tax Experts to the programme.
TIWB is a joint initiative of the UNDP and the OECD.
It supports countries in building tax audit capacity.
It complements global initiatives to enhance tax cooperation, aiding developing countries.

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)

UNDP is a UN agency that works to eradicate poverty and reduce inequalities and exclusion.
It was founded in 1965 and is headquartered in New York City.
It works in nearly 170 countries and territories.

Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)

OECD is an intergovernmental economic organisation with 38 member countries.
It was founded in 1961 to stimulate economic progress and world trade.
India is one of the many non-member economies with which the OECD has working relationships.
