About Amrit Bharat Station Scheme
- The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is a long-term plan to improve railway stations across India in a step-by-step manner. Under this scheme, detailed plans are made for each station and the work is done in phases, based on what each station needs.
- Nodal Ministry: Ministry of Railways
- Objective: To redevelop and modernize over 1275 railway stations across India, tailoring enhancements to the individual needs of each station.
- Implementation: Executed by Indian Railways. Public Private Participation (PPP) option can be explored.
- Type of Scheme: Central Sector Scheme, launched in 2023.
